Upgrade, Inc. is a new consumer credit platform that combines personal loans with tools that help consumers understand, monitor and improve their credit. The company raised $60 million in its first capital raise in March 2017, which remains the largest Series A round ever raised by a fintech company. While the founding team is very accomplished and the business model has been proven, we are still in the early days of this new platform and there is still an opportunity to have a significant impact.
 
We are looking for new team members who get excited about designing and implementing new and better solutions for the greater benefit of consumers to join a team of 175 talented and passionate fintech engineers, product, credit, finance, legal, compliance, design, operations and marketing professionals. 

Team:
You will be one the very first hires for our new Apply by Phone Inbound Sales group in our brand new operations center in downtown Phoenix. Customer conversion is critical to the success of our company. Our role in this group is to help our customers quickly submit loan applications by phone, better understand their personal finances, and ultimately exceed expectations by delivering an exceptional experience. We’re tasked with ensuring our borrowers have consistently great experiences with us and will measure it by maintaining a best-in-class Net Promoter Score and Customer Satisfaction Score. A great sales experience to us will be personal, human, educational, quick and through, and above all delightful. We’re going to scale quickly, and we are looking for great employees with a competitive spirit, and persistent drive to grow our business and launch their career with us. 

Responsibilities:
Answer a high volume of inbound customer phone calls with the goal of converting each apply by phone customer 
Determine the customer’s financial situation and financial goals to help drive loan issuance conversion
Address and overcome any customer concerns or objections outlining the benefits of our product and services to improve their financial situation
Complete loan applications by phone
Achieve or exceed your monthly revenue quota consistently
Observe and follow specific compliance regulations and guidelines (Quality Assurance scores, Borrower Authentication procedures)
Share customer and product feedback to our sales leadership, product, and marketing teams to improve the customer and employee experience
Represent the Upgrade brand by providing a positive, consultative, customer-focused experience

Requirements:
Experience in a sales or customer service role
Ability to drive sales conversion rates in a high call volume environment
Ability to quickly pitch our product to prospective applicants 
Strong interpersonal skills and can quickly build rapport with applicants
You’re driven by competition and closing sales
You deeply care about helping people
You’re flexible with the ability to adapt and change with our changes in business as we scale
You get excited by a “test and learn” start-up culture

Bonus:
BA/BS degree or above
Financial services experience
High volume inbound sales or support experience in a call center environment
