Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our InfoSec team as a Security Engineer, specialising in Identity and Access Management (IAM). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in IAM operations, with proficiency in managing user access and privileges.
Responsibilities: Identity and Access Management (IAM):
1) Manage and maintain IAM systems, including user provisioning, access control, and privilege management. Conduct regular access re-certifications to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
2) Handle user access requests, modifications, and terminations in accordance with established procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline IAM processes and enhance security posture.
4) Gap Identification and Mitigation: Continuously assess IAM processes and procedures to identify gaps and areas for improvement. Collaborate with IAM stakeholders to develop and implement remediation plans for identified gaps.
5) Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to user access and privilege management. Stay updated on the latest IAM technologies and best practices to enhance security controls.
Qualifications:
1) Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations.
2) Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) principles. Familiarity with IAM tools and technologies, such as Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta, or similar platforms. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is desirable. Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including IAM capabilities and security controls.
3) Security Concepts: Understanding of security principles and best practices related to identity and access management. Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements related to user access and data privacy.
4) Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are advantageous.
5) Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze IAM-related data and identify trends or anomalies.
6) Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate IAM concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to address IAM challenges and requirements.
7) Continuous Learning: Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest IAM trends, technologies, and regulations.
