Ursa Major’s team moves fast and does a lot with little. We are looking for a skilled, fast learning individual who will support our test operations. This role will work alongside the engineering team to test our family of rocket engines. 

Primary Responsibilities

    • Operation of a rocket engine test facility
    • Rocket engine and facility instrumentation checkouts
    • Fabrication and routing of harnesses
    • Buildup of data acquisition system racks
    • Troubleshooting of instrumentation such as thermocouples, pressure transducers, solenoids, flowmeters and electrical/electronic circuits
    • Daily walkdowns and facility maintenance
    • Procedure authoring and improvements

Qualifications

    • US CITIZENSHIP OR PERMANENT RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED
    • 5 years in an engine or hardware testing environment
    • Ability to read Electrical Schematics
    • Ability to read Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
    • Ability to perform grounding, bounding, crimping, and soldering operations

Desirable Experience

    • Liquid Propellant Rocket Engine or Jet Engine Testing
    • Crimping per NASA STD 8739.4
    • Experience with National Instruments and LabVIEW
    • Basic electronics certification such Associate Certified Electronics Technician (CETa)
