About the role
As an intern in the newly formed Strategy & Business Operations team you will work together with the Manager for Strategic Projects who directly reports to the CEO. Your role entails working on strategic projects which have a company wide impact.  Being integrated as a fully-fletched team member, you will work independently on topics while at the same time functioning as a sparring partner to your teammates. You will make an impact in a dynamic and motivating environment with open communication on eye-level and a lot of autonomy for your own ideas.

Your mission

Project Management
You will gain first hand insights into strategic project management. This will include the end-to-end project life cycle from strategic decision-taking to planning and implementation until the project hand-over into running business. Projects can vary between various topics from internationalization, pricing, commercial strategy to operation-related topics, but have a company wide impact in common. 

Analysis and Research
In order to prepare strategic decisions and implementations, you will conduct multiple research and analysis. This will range from known research and analysis formats you know from your studies to new forms and methods of research - according to the respective project nature. The outcome will serve as a decision basis for senior management and C-level as well as team internally. 

Stakeholder Alignment
Given the company-wide impact of the strategic projects, aligning stakeholders from all departments and all seniority levels will be one major task of yours. This involves not only tapping into their expertise and information they have to provide in order to bring the project further, but also guiding them in establishing and adapting new concepts and processes as an outcome of the strategic project. To a great extent this also includes anticipating and accounting for intra- and inter-departmental dependencies and change management. 

Information structuring and communication
Information structuring and communication will form a very important part of your role. Since your work’s audience is mainly management and/or the company as a whole, concise communication is key. Externally, communication will address our investors as major stakeholder and other external parties involved, depending on the project. This entails oral and written communication as well as information presentation in any form.

Your profile

You currently finished a bachelor’s degree or are currently pursuing your master’s degree. Previous internship experience in venture capital, banking, consulting and / or the start-up industry is strongly preferred. You studied in English, already did internships in English or similar. Ideally, you already spend some studying or working abroad and are used to working in a multi-cultural and dynamic environment. 

Strong analytical skills are within your personal core competences and you have independently conducted strategic analysis and basic forms of project management before. Additionally, you exhibit highly developed communication skills with both, company internal and external audiences. You enjoy approaching different kinds of people and cultures as well as feel highly confident in talking to different levels of management within the company. Thinking and presenting information in a structured, cohesive and neat manner is kind of a given for you. Fluent in English is a must, German an advantage.
