About the role: You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a brand-new Data Lakehouse platform, work hands-on with the latest technologies in the GCP ecosystem. You will be part of a team that values ownership, listens to well-reasoned initiatives, and is ready to put them into action.
In this role, you will
- Take the ownership of migration from ClickHouse to BigQuery, covering historical and incremental data while ensuring integrity, accuracy, and performance
- Design a scalable BigQuery architecture with optimal partitioning, clustering, and schema structure for analytical and operational workloads
- Develop and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines using Cloud Composer, DataForm, or custom scripts
- Build aggregated datasets and data marts for analytics, reporting, and dashboards with cost-efficient query performance
- Implement automated data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure reliability and detect anomalies
- Monitor and optimize production data infrastructure, improving performance, managing costs, and applying BigQuery best practices
It’s all about you
- 5+ years as a Data Engineer in a large-scale data environment
- Strong skills in data modeling and DWH methodologies
- Experience designing and developing ETL workflows (DBT is a plus)
- Proficient in complex, optimized SQL queries
- Confident Python user with Spark
- Experience in distributed computing
- Deep knowledge of BigQuery, including partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization
- Experience with ClickHouse architecture, SQL dialect, and migration processes
- Hands-on experience with GCP services like Cloud Storage або Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions and Compute engine
- Strong skills in dimensional modeling and data mart design
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD for data workflows
- Experience in monitoring, alerting, and validating production pipelines
- Ability to manage GCP costs effectively
- Proven track record in large-scale system migrations
- Ownership mindset with proactive and result-oriented approach
- Experience integrating with BI tools like Tableau or Looker
