THE ROLE

At Valdera, Sales Executives own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. They are responsible for prospecting over a large territory, targeting accounts, generating leads and creating sales opportunities. They qualify opportunities, demonstrate the Valdera SaaS solution, calculate and present business cases, negotiate contracts and close deals.

Enterprise Sales Executives will be mentored by the Head of Sales and more senior sales executives to quickly develop the full range of skills required to engage with prospects and customers, nurture sales opportunities and work toward close. This role will require candidates to learn quickly and exercise adaptability as they gain expertise and generate revenue.

    • You'd have a reasonable quota with high upside commission potential that's uncapped

In this role, you will do the following:

    • Prospect for new accounts via cold calling, accepting inbound leads, networking and marketing in an assigned territory
    • Mange the end-to-end sales cycle for enterprise SaaS customers in assigned territory (including leading CPG companies, manufacturers, and building material producers)
    • Build a pipeline of deals and close business by prospecting, qualifying leads, providing demonstrations, generating quotes and onboarding new customers
    • Facilitate positive client experiences through your expertise in our systems & process
    • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Finance, Procurement and other departments, to ensure customer needs are met
    • Provide exemplary customer service to your clients

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

    • 1+ years of SaaS sales or business development experience
    • Trained in value-based selling or some other sales methodology preferred
    • You love the hunt and have experience with B2B SaaS prospecting
    • Excellent verbal, writing and presenting skills
    • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
    • Able to take initiative, be accountable, coachable and adaptable 
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. You handle change well 
    • Congenial, collaborative, respectful to colleagues
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but will consider equivalent professional experience

Bonus Skills:

    • Experience calling on industrial or manufacturing segments
    • Experience in chemicals or raw materials procurement
    • Experience working for an early-stage company
