We are actively seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead the design and execution of overhead and underground transmission line projects across a range of voltages. This is a high-impact, leadership role offering the opportunity to work on complex and meaningful projects that support the nation's growing energy needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering design and analysis of overhead and underground transmission lines, ensuring compliance with applicable standards (NESC, IEEE, ASCE) and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies, route optimization, environmental assessments, and site evaluations for new and existing transmission projects.
- Utilize GIS tools and spatial data to support route planning and engineering design decisions.
- Develop detailed engineering packages, including drawings, specifications, and structural calculations for transmission line components.
- Perform advanced structural analysis using tools such as PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE to ensure system integrity, reliability, and safety.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, permitting authorities, and construction contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering technical growth and professional development within the team.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement, staying abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering required
- PE (Professional Engineer) and/or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification highly preferred.
- 8+ years of transmission line design experience, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficient in PLS-CADD and related transmission design software.
- Prior experience in team leadership or technical management highly preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a proven ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship
$125,000 - $175,000 a year
Salaries for all position are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, total years of experience in the industry, education, skills, and qualifications. Compensation may vary depending on the candidate's individual background and expertise.
