Responsibilities

    • Provide ownership and accountability for pipe stress analysis in the completion of all projects
    • Mentor and lead younger engineers
    • Prepare proposal estimates for pipe stress analysis
    • Schedule pipe stress analysis in accordance with project schedules
    • Assign pipe stress work to other engineers
    • Review and checking of pipe stress analysis completed by others for quality and accuracy
    • Review of design documents for quality and accuracy
    • Review of design documents for assurance that design complies with industry codes, piping specifications and client standards
    • Provide pipe stress subject matter expertise
    • Provide written or verbal design progress reports as required by the project manager
    • Develop and / or improve department standards, including templates and design guides
    • Verify field conditions, constructability of designs, and assist in resolving problems during field construction

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
    • 15+ years of experience working in the Pipe Stress field with heavy industrial including high energy piping in power plants and refining / chemical experience
    • Caesar II & NozzlePRO experience
    • Knowledge within the Stress Analysis discipline with the capabilities and initiative to perform the following tasks with some supervisory/mentor assistance
    • Knowledge of Piping/Stress department workflow
    • Ability to manage pipe stress work within the project budget and schedule
    • Take responsibility for quality and timelines of pipe stress deliverables
    • Experience in trouble-shooting pipe stress issues at industrial sites, identify and recommend solutions
    • Supervision or management experience a plus
    • Ability to travel to our Griffith, IN location along with client sites 2-3 days per week
    • Must be able to work in the US now and in the future, without sponsorship
