Who you are
To support our rapid growth, we are looking for a Solutions Engineer.

What you will do:

    • Lead sales discovery meetings to uncover relevant client challenges/pains and highest value opportunities
    • Define and provide evidence for how Validere’s solution meets client’s technical decision criteria, requirements, and business objectives
    • Develop and nurture client relationships, particularly with technical counterparts
    • Participate as a member of the sales team defining and executing sales and account strategy
    • Conduct technical analysis, feasibility assessments, and develop tailored technical plans for execution by Services team
    • Conduct technical and functional product demos aligned to customer persona, pain, and Validere solutions and offerings
    • Navigate the data collection process, including defining opportunity-specific requirements, coordinating with technical personnel, and validating data received
    • Engage with post-sales teams (i.e. Services, Analytics, Engineering) to ensure feasibility of approach and timelines, and alignment with customer expectations
    • Ensure successful transition of technical knowledge and relationships to implementation team
    • Identify and communicate relevant market needs, field observations, content requirements, and customer feedback to Product and Product Marketing teams

What you bring to the team:

    • Intellectual curiosity
    • Experience working with data and using it to build compelling arguments/ recommendations
    • Resourceful, structured approach to dealing with new challenges, complexity, or ambiguity
    • 5+ years operational experience within the Midstream Oil & Gas segment
    • Ability to understand complex word problems and convert them to mathematical or process statements
    • Ability to lead sales meetings and confidently navigate the discovery process
    • Experience developing and delivering compelling presentations and demos to technical and non-technical audiences
    • STEM degree
    • Ability to independently qualify opportunities on a technical basis and to scope technical solutions that include software and services
    • Ability to align technical fit criteria to business outcomes
    • Experience developing relationships with technical counterparts to become a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process
    • Knowledge of the oil and gas value chains, including technical and business challenges
    • Nice to have: 
    • Environmental experience with benchmarking, carbon tracking, regulatory compliance, carbon credits, carbon trading, etc.
