Varo’s Project Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is looking for an Associate Program Manager and change agent to help lead critical processes and implement improvements in our agile, experiment driven operating approach, to iteratively learn in pursuit of delivering on enterprise OKRs. In this role, you will own important tools and processes, collaborate closely with stakeholders to manage and track deliverables, and support the continuous improvement of our governance strategies. 

The ability to be resourceful in seeking out solutions, build relationships with critical stakeholders, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment is essential for someone in this role. Strong organizational and communication skills are key, and you should have experience and a proven ability to balance process optimizations with stakeholder preferences. 

What you'll be doing

    • Manage a portfolio of strategic processes that are foundational to business operations
    • Serve as the primary owner of critical business forums and reports
    • Oversee key metric tracking, ensure regular status reporting, and mature our ability to accurately monitor and glean insights from launched initiatives
    • Ensure essential product delivery procedures are followed and contribute to defining and improving standards
    • Develop and curate dedicated PMO spaces and tools that will reduce the manual workload for data collection and dissemination
    • Provide project and program management support for critical initiatives
    • Own and update integrated enterprise roadmap

You'll bring the following required skills and experiences

    • 5+ years experience with project or program management in an adaptive, agile software development ecosystem
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Demonstrated track record of partnership and collaboration among cross-functional teams
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
    • Ambition to drive toward continuous improvement
    • Familiarity with Jira, Jellyfish, and Confluence is strongly preferred
$80,000 - $110,000 a year
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Per applicable law, the salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors as well as candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the identified range.
