The Strategic Partnerships team accelerates the growth and innovation of Varo’s products by creating new business, marketplace, and distribution opportunities through partnerships. Varo is a bank for all, and strategic partnership deals push this mission forward. The team also manages Varo’s high-touch, high-potential, and high-impact deals with external partners, aligning on shared objectives and making decisions that ultimately serve our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Evaluate key partnerships that provide value to customers across a variety of complementary products and services to advance Varo's social impact
- Own the analytics and execution strategy for the Partnerships team including measuring the performance of Partnership initiatives, marketing campaigns, and the impact of partnerships across other departments including fraud, servicing, and product marketing
- Manage all aspects of partnership data including revenue and conversion data, by working with data engineering to ingest data, pull data from various third-party platforms, build internal dashboards, ect.
- Measure and monitor all performance-related metrics (e.g., customer engagement, revenue growth) to generate insights and optimization strategies to improve the impact of partnerships
- Provide detailed and continuous revenue forecasting with some support from Finance
- Develop business cases for future partnerships and initiatives that combine both internal and external data sets and product requirements
- Develop and assess various testing strategies to increase email marketing efficiency including examples such as a new LCM flow for partnership emails, content updates, targeting strategies, etc.
- Become an expert in what moves the key metrics and conduct detailed analyses that result in actionable insights to enhance customer experience
- Run ongoing and ad-hoc analyses in support of Partnership objectives as well as operational effectiveness and incident response
- Summarize analytical findings clearly and concisely in various presentation formats to the Executive Team by using narratives based on a methodical and data-driven approach
- Understand customer impact of business terms and/or product changes
- Support the team with various operational needs including ensuring correct tracking links are used, invoicing reconciliation, etc.
You'll bring the following required skills and experiences
- 5+ years of related experience such as management consulting, investment banking, business intelligence, data science, or corporate strategy
- Strong experience with data analysis, modeling, SQL, and presentations
- Ability to write and maintain queries that operate on a variety of structured and unstructured sources
- Experience in extracting, sampling, and visualization of large data sets
- Experience with delivering production-level metrics, insights, and actions
- Data visualization experience, working with Tableau, Looker, or other BI tools
- Previous project management experience and process optimization with data analytics
- Coding knowledge in SQL, Python, or the equivalent (SAS, R)
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, a similar quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
$150,000 - $190,000 a year
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Per applicable law, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $190,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors as well as candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the identified range
