ABOUT THE TEAM
Varo’s Lifecycle Marketing team is responsible for customer engagement and retention. Our goal is to ensure customers have a seamless onboarding experience, and help them get the most out of Varo after they join while using LCM learnings to impact the Product roadmap and collaborate deeply with our Product team membersThe Lifecycle Marketing team is small, nimble, data-driven, and results-oriented. ABOUT THE ROLE
Your role will be to own the technical development, implementation, and reporting of messaging campaigns at Varo. Outside of the day-to-day messaging development, this role is expected to create and maintain documentation, participate in stakeholder discussions, and own the Braze experience (data ingestion, organization, etc.). This role is ideal for an individual with technical coding experience who looks for opportunities to stretch into strategy, data analysis, and cross-department collaboration.
What you will be doing
- Code mobile responsive HTML email templates in Braze
- Build multi-step automated and single- send campaigns (including email, push, content cards, and in-app messaging) complete with customer segmentation, using Braze and other internal tools
- Manage messaging requests from development to implementation: from requirements collection, to asset production, targeting, automation, testing, QA review, stakeholder approvals and deployment
- Fully own quality assurance review prior to deployment with rigorous attention to detail
- Collaborate with the product and engineering team to develop requirements for Braze data requests for new campaigns and QA data inputs into Braze
- Become the go-to expert for Braze on all things technical
- Collaborate with marketing and cross-functionally with product, engineering, data science and analytics to develop and execute campaigns
- Report on campaign results through Amplitude
- Creating and maintaining documentation for HTML, liquid logic, and Braze best practices specific to Varo’s unique use cases
- This role has the ability to grow and own small-scale customer journey
You will bring the following required skills and experiences
- 2-3 years of experience with email, mobile push and in-app marketing
- Mastery of HTML and CSS
- Extensive experience with responsive email coding and best practices
- Knowledge of email marketing best practices, email deliverability, and CAN-SPAM
- Experience with Braze is a big plus
- Experience with A/B and multivariate tests and using control groups
- Exceptional attention to detail and technical execution skills
- Track record of delivering on goals in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment
- Excellent project and time management skills and ability to anticipate needs
- Highly organized and autonomous, but also able to collaborate and work cross-functionally to problem solve and drive projects to completion
$100,000 - $125,000 a year
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Per applicable law, the salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors as well as candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the identified range.
