The Role

Veeva Link envisions building connected data applications to improve research and patient outcomes. We are looking for an organized team leader with experience in data analysis to join the Veeva Link product team.
 
You will lead a remote team of data curators who do the rule-based classification of scientific texts. You will work closely with the product manager to define how the product gets developed. Your main responsibility will be to innovate production processes, define and ensure green data quality, and grow the team. You run lean six sigma projects to increase process efficiency and reduce defects. As a servant leader, you deliver results while coaching your team and keeping them engaged.

The ideal candidate for this role has already led a team, preferably in the data or life science industry. As an agile lead, you will be directly responsible for customer success, hence need to have strong stakeholder management experience as well as a process mindset, enjoy working with autonomy in an international environment, and thrive on turning complex information into simple overviews that drive operational excellence.

What You'll Do

    • Meet quality goals and coverage metrics and align them with customer and business requirements
    • Scale and lead a team of 20 data curators
    • Work with operational and software development teams to remediate identified gaps using both manual and automated solutions
    • Create weekly data quality reports and updates
    • Align regularly with services and product management teams to ensure customer success

Requirements

    • University degree in medicine or life sciences
    • Working experience in a data analytical role
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
    • Exposure to database query writing (SQL) and scripting (e.g., Python)
    • Comfortable working with data and making data-driven decisions
    • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels within the organization
    • Organized and able to manage multiple timelines, projects, and schedules
    • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

Nice to Have

    • Experience with one or more data analysis tools, e.g., Knime, Tableau, etc.
    • Comfortable working in an agile environment
    • Experienced with healthcare/pharmaceutical data
