The Role

As a Practice Manager with Veeva Systems, you will be leading the amazing team of professional services consultants and interfacing with customers to design and lead software implementation programs. This team partners with our customers across Asia to implement Veeva’s cloud software to ensure the customer’s speed and success. 
The ideal candidate will contribute at both hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate an amazing and innovative Veeva culture. You will facilitate our field team in defining and following best practices, recruiting new team members and helping current team members to advance in their position. You will demonstrate your ability to work in a global and cross-functional team environment with customers.

What You’ll Do

    • Build, lead, and expand the team focused on long-term employee success
    • Establish measurable team and individual goals, metrics, and performance standards to ensure product knowledge, focus and execution, and accountability
    • Drive utilization, increased revenue, and the delivery of billable engagements for Veeva products and services
    • Provide leadership and mentorship, develop and maintain innovative consulting process
    • Oversee team and support consultants wherever needed
    • Create and maintain a strong internal network at Veeva across Sales, Products, and Services
    • Develop a trusted advisor and partner relationship with the customer
    • Drive customer coverage continuously for commercial product lines, and be accountable for customer success
    • Escalation point for project issues and accountability for project success

Requirements

    • Native Chinese and proficient English skills – both verbal and written
    • Strong presentation skills with an ability to articulate to a business and technical audience
    • Negotiation skills and professional written/verbal communication skills
    • Proven ability to independent and strategic thinking beyond boundaries
    • Proven leadership in managing a consulting services team of at least 10 people
    • Proven track record of hiring, training, and developing teams with defined targets
    • Business development in a services organization
    • Direct experience selling and managing both small and large-scale implementation programs
    • Implementation expertise including demonstrated capability to develop new offerings or methodologies

Nice to Have

    • SaaS / Cloud implementation expertise
    • Previous P&L responsibility
    • Experience with Salesforce.com, MDM platforms, or Content Management Platforms
    • Experience in the Life Science industry, especially in commercial areas
