As the Director of Scientific Program Management, you'll play an essential role in advancing Velsera's mission of enhancing global health through multi-omics insights. Reporting directly to the Chief Science Officer, you'll develop and execute strategies that serve our current clients and guide our future growth.
What will you do?
- Strategy Development: Design, implement, and refine strategies for our scientific programs. Collaborate both internally and externally to accelerate progress.
- Project Leadership: Serve as the Principal Investigator, providing oversight and governance for crucial projects.
- Community Engagement: Understand and anticipate the needs of researchers related to biomedical data analysis. Stay updated with technological advancements to promote emerging trends.
- Science Promotion: Design and head Science Campaigns that spotlight Velsera’s contributions to the broader community.
- Team Leadership: Participate in the Science Leadership team, ensuring scientific excellence across Velsera's portfolio. Mentor and manage program managers to ensure consistent value delivery.
- Global Representation: Deliver impactful presentations at international meetings, representing Velsera’s vision and initiatives.
- Publication Efforts: Drive publications that boost Velsera’s scientific impact and reputation.
- Collaboration: Work alongside our Product, Corporate Development, and Commercial teams to assess and support novel opportunities.
- Consortia Leadership: Head consortia under Velsera’s umbrella, devising plans to maximize their scientific impact.
- Proposal Management: Strategize for proposals, and lead coordination in response development and delivery.
- Stakeholder Communication: Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively, ensuring clear communication regarding project details.
What you bring to the table.
- PhD in Science or Engineering.
- 8-10 years combined experience in software development, program management, and data management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration.
- Data-driven decision-making ability.
- Familiarity with US Government grants, contracts, or Other Transactions.
- Expertise in clinical data and data ontologies.
- Recognized contributions to data ecosystem or scientific communities.
- Proven leadership skills in team environments.
- Ability to lead and engage in diverse virtual team discussions.
- Proactive and adaptable, able to thrive in dynamic settings.
- Problem-solving skills with experience in complex system design and development.
