As a Senior Product Manager/Owner, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and delivery of innovative software solutions that support our precision medicine initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, bioinformaticians, and clinical experts, to define and prioritize product features and guide their implementation.
What will you do?
- Product Roadmap and Strategy:
- Collaborate, as needed, with the Product Leadership on the vision, strategy to articulate a roadmap that aligns to the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Customer Support, Design, Medical, Science, and development teams, to gather user feedback, clarify user problems and requirements.
- Conduct problem analysis to uncover and document solutions and inform the company.
- Product Ownership and Planning:
- Serve as the product owner and be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to delivery, ensuring that the product meets business and customer requirements.
- Define and prioritize product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and maintain a well-groomed product backlog
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute a product development plan, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Conduct regular product demos and gather feedback from stakeholders, customers, and end-users to iterate and improve the product.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, including software development teams, data scientists, regulatory affairs, and clinical experts, to gather requirements and ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
- Work closely with the software development team, providing clear product direction, requirements, and clarifications, and resolving any technical or implementation issues that may arise.
- Agile Development and Release Management:
- Work with the development team to define sprint goals, plan releases, and track progress against milestones, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts by analyzing metrics, gathering feedback, and implementing process enhancements.
- Team Leadership:

Implement Agile methodologies and practices, such as Scrum or Kanban, to facilitate efficient product development and delivery.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior product management team members. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability, promoting professional growth and excellence within the team.

What do you bring to the table?
- 5 years of work experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management (Preferred)
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or precision medicine industry.
- In-depth knowledge of biotech and precision medicine technologies, including genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, and clinical workflows. (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, Agile principles, and product management best practices.
- Experience in gathering and prioritizing product requirements, writing user stories, and managing product backlogs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software products within the biotech or healthcare domain.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
