We are looking for an amazing individual with excitement and enthusiasm to join our unique team. The ideal candidate will work in the Facilities department supporting the company with variety of duties.

Essential Duties

    • Print-to-Part manufacture of precision tooling and hardware
    • Work Closely with a tight knot team of industry experts 
    • Develop processes and procedures to maintain our manufacturing excellence
    • Be a value added voice in decisions related to tooling and machine choice
    • Work Smart and Safe to ensure we all make it “Home for Dinner”
    • Communicate Clearly and conscientiously, bringing solutions to hard problems
    • Be able to work through hard issues and come up with a solution
    • Grow your leadership and teamwork skills
    • Provide a critical eye to every detail to ensure success of hardware
    • Ability to identify issues or problems in operations and maintenance 
    • Maintain a healthy and safe environment
    • Program and machine high precision, quick turn projects as well as small batch production jobs with the same attention to detail
    • Look critically at all part processes to drive efficiency and improve quality by interfacing with engineers and designers
    • Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, verbal instructions, and models
    • Set up, operate, and prove-out programs on a variety of equipment including, but not limited to CNC mill (horizontal and vertical spindle), CNC lathe, manual mill/lathe and all other typical machine shop equipment
    • Give feedback to engineers and designers, including early process reviews and receive feedback from customers to improve quality at the machine

Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience setting up/operating 5 Axis Mills or Lathes
    • Manual machine operation, Mill and Lathe
    • GD&T and Blueprint reading skills
    • Ability to work directly with designers in an R&D environment 
    • Excellent communication and written skills
    • Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
    • Computer proficiency 
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds
    • Proficient in shop math 
    • Willingness to work in a dynamic prototype/R&D environment
    • MasterCam proficiency or desire to learn 
Job Location:
The Machinist position is an onsite located in Houston, TX in Ellington Field.
