About You
As an Enterprise Field Solutions Engineer, your primary objective is to address the complex challenges faced by our customers. They rely on you as a trusted technical advisor to resolve their business issues effectively. You serve as the cornerstone of our company's technical expertise, deploying your data engineering skills and collaborating closely with developers to support sales and account teams. Your role involves translating intricate enterprise requirements into deployed and fully integrated solutions. This is a customer-facing role with an opportunity to travel to visit customers in person.

About the Growth Team
This role will be part of the Sales & Marketing team, within the overall Growth team. You'll play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and ensuring customers derive maximum value from our system. This role demands a collaborative mindset as we seek a teammate who can contribute to building a scalable, customer-centric team. In this capacity, you'll engage with larger enterprise clients, establishing face-to-face relationships to cultivate trust and become their preferred partner.

Responsibilities

    • You will collaborate with Account Managers to drive sales closure with enterprise customers, focusing on IoT hardware and SaaS products.
    • You will navigate customer requirements, actively listen to pain points, demonstrate our product, and architect solutions tailored to their objectives.
    • You will be a customer-facing contact, delivering and standing behind the Verdigris products they purchase.
    • You will overcome obstacles within customer infrastructure and organizational structure to facilitate seamless integration and adoption.
    • You will identify and develop service solutions to address last-mile needs in various use cases, maximizing value realization for customers.You will assist with technical and info-sec diligence and architect solutions and strategies to meet requirements and overcome technical hurdles.
    • You will quote, source and manage any 3rd party developers required for success.
    • You will scope the deliverables and provide scoping sheets for proposal and quotation. 

Required Qualifications

    • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field.
    • You have 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as professional services consultant, field engineer, product developer, or systems engineer.
    • You demonstrate strong active listening skills and proficient communication with engineers, executives, and customers across all mediums (written, in-person, virtual).
    • You have built API integrations, Business Intelligence dashboards, and reporting formats for customer Key Performance Indicators.
    • You exhibit proficiency in programming for data engineering, transformation, and simplification, or you can manage 3rd party developers to deliver service solutions.
    • You are familiar with network information security requirements and topologies to support enterprise security needs.
    • You have an aptitude for project management, capable of coordinating multiple vendors and/or customer stakeholders towards customer project goals and setting appropriate expectations.
    • You are willing and able to travel to customers as required (15-25% of the time).

Nice to Haves

    • You have working knowledge or eagerness to learn about AC electrical systems, critical facility operation, building HVAC systems, and MEP design and construction.
    • You have cofounded or were an early employee in tech startup focused on a similar enterprise demographic and have demonstrated success scaling these clients.
    • You have built a network of clients with whom you have already established your technical capabilities.
    • You have over 5 years experience in early customer development, early enterprise sales development, or more mature consultative sales engineering.
    • You have a Master's Degree in Computer Science and/or electrical engineering, data science, or similar technical domain.
    • You have experience carrying customer revenue quotas.
$150,000 - $200,000 a year
