Introduction:

As a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer you will play a crucial role in building, operationalizing, and scaling our internal data warehouse to power our data-driven decision-making process. Your focus will be on developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data warehouse technology stack, ensuring the different components are scalable, efficient, and aligned with our business needs.  You will also own the data warehouse’s roadmap, working closely with different stakeholders within the organization on understanding their needs, collecting requirements, developing BI dashboards, and evolving our architecture to ensure our data warehouse continues to scale as our business grows.


About You

    • 7+ years of experience designing & building data warehouses, developing data pipelines (ETLs), reporting schemas, BI visualizations & dashboards, etc.
    • Expert knowledge of ETL design patterns, ingestion methods, and orchestration
    • Expert knowledge of warehouse schema design and dimensional data modeling
    • Experience designing or building ground-up data ecosystems
    • Experience with sourcing data from different sources (Relational DBs, APIs, Spreadsheets, etc.)
    • Expert proficiency in SQL, Python, and DBT
    • Experience working with data pipeline orchestration tools (Dagster, Apache Airflow, etc.)
    • History of project delivery spanning multiple business units, contributing direct value to stakeholders
    • Experience working with BI tools (Quick Sight, Power BI, etc.)
    • Experience working with Terraform and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
    • Strong critical thinking skills & attention to details
    • Strong communication skills
    • Humble, collaborative, and self-aware

Responsibilities

    • Own and drive the planning, design, and development of new data warehouse capabilities
    • Work closely with stakeholders on understanding and capturing business requirements
    • Own technical documentation, data dictionaries, ERD/schema diagram
    • Collaborate with other engineering teams to understand impact of new product features on the data warehouse
    • Identify & plan for future technical needs and bottlenecks that need to be addressed
