Our growth operations team prides itself on using a first principles approach to unlock new ways of scaling revenue. Using engineering to overcome obstacles and scale/automate processes, we experiment where most marketing teams fall short or lack skill sets. As an early member of the team, you will own both software engineering and product management responsibilities to design, architect, and own the systems and processes that power marketing campaigns that directly accelerate revenue growth.

Your Impact and Responsibilities

    • Translate business problem requirements into an engineering solution and execute on it!
    • Decide when to build from scratch and when to use existing tools.
    • Learn new languages and frameworks quickly.
    • Develop and articulate a product strategy and roadmap to meet the growth team’s needs.
    • Work with the product engineering team to integrate our product with our growth systems.
    • Utilize your deep engineering expertise to develop platforms, workflows, and automations supporting new out-of-the-box growth experiments that drive direct revenue impact.
    • Unlock complicated blockers via engineering skillsets that prevent marketers from achieving scale or efficiency.

About You

    • No marketing experience needed.
    • 4+ years working experience in SWE role or equivalent.
    • 4 year CS degree or relevant work experience.
    • Strong in Python (or equivalent), SQL, and Javascript.
    • Prior experience in product management, business strategy, growth operations, or equivalent is a plus.
    • Ability to collaborate and build trust with data scientists and other cross-functional teammates.
    • Experience with AWS serverless infrastructure is a plus.
    • Ability to think creatively and approach problems with first principles thinking, ambition, and a positive attitude.
$100,000 - $210,000 a year
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. For this role, Verkada estimates a starting annual base salary will fall in the range of approximately $100,000 – 210,000. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. Annual base salary is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
