Based in Grenoble (France), we have recently started operations our Verkor Innovation Centre (R&D centre and 4.0 pilot line).

We now focus on building the world’s most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France). With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.

Tasks

    • Ensure the coordination and the project management on behalf of the project owner of all the construction lots, equipment installation, material work orders and, hook up, in order to ensure the delivery of a battery production plant in north of France by mid 2025.
    • Work with the project management on the project planification,
    • Ensure the supervision of all human and material resources assigned to the project,
    • Manage and monitor contracts and orders for equipment, materials and work or subcontracting, contracting, relations and negotiations with suppliers both with management and purchasing teams,
    • Manage the interfaces within the internal and external project teams.
    • Organize the coordination of the project and apply the QSE rules of the project, and ensure they are respected on a daily basis
    • Participate to coordination meetings with all functions,
    • Draw the budget for all activities and update it
    • Manage risks and opportunities of all activities,
    • Actively participate to the budget control for all activities
    • Coordinate and update the global planning, including supply chain (equipment & material)
    • Monitor cost constraints, timelines and quality
    • Monitor expenses and billing within budget, report and KPI’s.
    • Update the executive committee
    • Lead the project on the base camp
    • Manage a teamd from 20 to 70 people as industrial project director.
    • The position will report to the COO and based in Dunkirk. Some business trips will be required in Grenoble. 

Prerequisites

    • With a highly skilled technical background, you have a significant experience in the management of large scale industrial projects (> 1B€) - (Work, equipment installation, production scale up and operational preparation).
    • Solid experience in project manager, budget monitoring and control, contract management and interface management in a constrained planning environment.
    • People management experience, where you have been recognised as federator and good listener within teams.
    • You have good analytical skills, decision making and negotiation skills.
    • Rigorous, autonomous, and good interpersonal, written, and oral skills.
    • You like challenges (time, technical, cost ) to honor our complex and transformative projects.
