We now focus on building the world’s most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France). With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.

Overview of the role :

    • Organize and coordinate activities around active materials for negative Li-ion electrodes
    • Engage with suppliers and partners for cell component sourcing and feedback
    • Generate (multiscale) and analyze results : characterization, testing, process-structure-performance relationships
    • Assist in product validation (Specifications sheets, VPQP and cross-team relationships)
    • Ensure traceability of methods, quality controls and results availability (LIMS/Vibe)
    • Perform the disassembly of lithium-ion cells prototypes including coin cells, pouch cells and cylindrical cells
    • Perform the cell testing 

Responsibilities :

    • Apply safety consigns
    • Know what and who to inform in case of a safety event
    • Develop roadmaps cell components
    • Validation and understanding of grades performances
    • Feedback of results to all stakeholder  
    • Traceability, repeatability and quality of prototypes and results

Requirements :

    • Specialized in Chemistry and/or Materials and/or electrochemistry especially graphite, hard carbons and SiOx materials
    • Processes flow chart
    • Li-ion state of the art
    • Cell components chemistry
    • Data restitution
    • Experience with air-sensitive material and hazardous chemicals, in lithium-ion cell manufacturing and testing, in organic and/or inorganic materials, physico-chemicals. Experience of working in a dry room and/or clean room environment
