We now focus on building the world’s most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France). With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.  

In joining us you will actively participate in this breathtaking industrial adventure to shape the future of European mobility.

    • As a Module Design and Prototyping Technician, you will support the conception, prototyping and testing of battery modules. During the conception this will include creating 3D models (CAD/CAO) and drawings of module components. For the prototyping this will include operating assembly equipment for processes including but not limited to laser welding, stacking, paste dispensing and manual assembly. For the testing phase this will include supporting the Verkor testing team for both in-house and external module test setup and monitoring.
    • You will be involved in:
    • Conception of module components (CAD/CAO, drawings)
    • Operation of module assembly equipment (tab cutting, stacking, electrical tests, laser welding etc.)
    • Supporting engineering to run process trials for process parameter setting
    • Supporting problem solving efforts on module product and process
    • Supporting testing of modules both in-house and at external partners You will be trained in the specific equipment used for the role.

    • Bac+2/+3 - BTS, DUT or license in mechanical fabrication, ‘bureau d’études’ or equivalent
    • Strong experience with CAD/CAO and engineering drawings (Catia, Solidworks or similar)
    • Experience in designing parts for sheet metal fabrication, injection moulding and casting
    • Experience in Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly
    • Experience in prototyping · Mechanical aptitude
    • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design or similar
    • Professional English level · Autonomous, fast learner, motivated
    • Experience in operation of manufacturing equipment or machining (CNC, 3D printing etc.) is a plus
    • Knowledge of basic electronics design and prototyping is a plus
