About this role :

    • We have an exciting opportunity as Equipment Quality Engineer for our Gigafactory (on the outskirts of Dunkirk, north of France). This role is based in Grenoble. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance of the equipment with Verkor's expectations.

    • You will embrace the goal of building and structuring Verkor as the most advanced battery manufacturing company in the world!

Main responsibilities :

    • 1. Contribute to the selection of equipment suppliers:
    • Assess quality level of the supplier during RFI/RFQ
    • Provide feedback to the Sourcing Committee

    • 2. Provide methodology and support to the process teams by implementing the equipment project
    • Ensure deliverables' maturity follow-up or milestones from the Process Deliverable List
    • Validate documents compliance
    • Confirm project gates achievement
    • Solve quality issues during the project implementation phase, identify risks and mitigate or alert

    • 3. Ensure that equipment will meet Verkor's requirements
    • Being the owner of the completion of document deliveries related to quality:
    • MFMEA - Machine FMEA
    • Contamination management: contamination map + cleanliness instructions
    • Error detection system

    • Supplier on-site inspection:
    • FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) preparation: alignment on-going activities VS project schedule, parts procurement status and stock check, availability of resources (layout, human resources, equipment for assembly),
    • Confirm maturity and consistency of Quality deliverables,
    • Support Process team during FAT on supplier site.

Skills and qualifications :

    • Bachelor´s degree minimum in Industrial Engineering with experience in Li-ion battery cell manufacturing
    • A proven track record of managing cross-functional teams.
    • Aptitude to engage and influence other functions involved in technical development
    • Demonstrate the ability to act in a changing and fast-paced environment.
    • Effectively manage priorities, deliverables, and timelines with little need for escalation.
    • Continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset
    • Highly organized, results & customer driven and an eye for details.
    • Fluent in both English and French.
