We now focus on building the world’s most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France). With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.

In a nutshell :

    • We are looking for an experienced manufacturing engineer for the role of Manufacturing System Development senior engineer. This role consists of supporting the industrial development of Verkor from the manufacturing aspect, from the first Gigafactory to other upcoming expansion projects.
    • As part of this role, you will be in interface with process and operation team and insure to implement best production system standard for a successful start of production expected in 2025.
    • Your perfect understanding of standard production system and manufacturing execution system, and good knowledge of Gigafactory manufacturing culture will be decisive for the success of this initiative that supports Verkor development. 

Essential Responsibilities :

    • Interface with Verkor operation Plant and Process engineer to support Verkor work instruction, procedure, and standardization.
    • Support process equipment design (main interlocuter representing operation topics to process engineers)
    • Support GF process development and ramp-up.
    • Driving Verkor Manufacturing lessons learnt from previous projects: collection – synthesis - implementation in new projects. 

Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College in Manufacturing, production, or related Field
    • Master’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent is a plus.
    • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in different position Production, Project management, Lean, continuous improvement  
    • Proven leadership with diverse and global team, within new factory development and manufacturing engineering
    • Demonstrate expertise in battery manufacturing field (from process equipment to operation, including good knowledge of product). 

Nice to have :

    • Perfect understanding of Process system/Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
    • Appetite for production system development with demonstrated track record.
    • Result oriented with ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal.
    • Ability to work independently to achieve set targets and objectives.
    • Self-directed, detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and problem-solving mindset.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively at all levels of organization.
    • English mandatory, French is a plus.
