We are seeking a highly motivated and talented recent college graduate, or senior college student, to join our product team as a Technical Writer intern. The technical writer is responsible for taking complex, technical and product information and translating it into easily understandable formats. The Technical Writer will work closely with experienced technical writers and product teams to interpret the specifications, engineering artifacts, reports and other data to ensure the production of documentation complies with the audiences’ requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product analysis and technical documentation, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and collaborative environment.  
As a Technical Writer you will be responsible for creating paper-based and digital operating instructions, how-to manuals, setup instructions, and “frequently asked questions” pages to communicate complex and technical information more easily. The ideal candidate will have written communication skills and a foundational understanding of technical concepts. 

Duration: 3 month minimum with flexible timeline and hours.

What you'll do:

    • Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension. 
    • Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions. 
    • Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed. 
    • Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation. 
    • Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel 
    • Write and edit other product documents/manuals/implementation guides to the audience’s specifications 
    • Archives technical data over longer periods of time in an efficient, established method to aid in future related projects  
    • Review and/or edit content developed by other members of the team. 
    • Communicate the status of work and any requirements for additional information to team leaders  
    • Might involve using test environments, recording videos, or creating process maps & slides. Whatever it takes to get the job done!  

What you'll bring to the team:

    • Recent University graduate, or risingsenior 
    • Prior experience in writing technical documentation for a Fintech or Tech company. 
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
    • Excellent written communication skills,and a focus on effective communication 
    • We want to find someone who is curious, can learn quickly, think creatively, and work collaboratively. 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, andPowerPoint.  
    • Experience with MadCapFlare and SharePoint would be an asset

$25 - $30 an hour
Our salary range is $25-$30/hr.
