THE ROLE
The Streamable is looking for streaming enthusiasts to help millions of cord-cutters learn about what's happening in the world of media. If you love covering Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu, Prime Video, YouTube TV, Sling TV, and the changing world of streaming, then this freelance writing opportunity is for you.

This is a perfect opportunity for recent journalism school graduates and young journalists who are eager to hone in their writing skills with the mentorship of an experienced managing editor with more than 20 years of experience in the news industry.
The company is fully remote, so you can join from anywhere, but the role requires availability starting at 9am ET.
OUR HIRING PROCESS
We don’t want to waste your time.
You will be asked to complete a short writing test when you apply. Upon receiving your writing test, we will set-up a quick phone call and make a decision. Please see the required writing submission below.
WITH YOUR APPLICATION PLEASE SUBMIT
- Your resume with writing samples
- Writing Prompt - Select one of the following articles as a prompt for an original article of at least 300 words. Your original article should not simply rehash the information from the prompt, but instead should use that information as the foundation for an original piece that shows your news writing ability and understanding of the streaming landscape. Our audience includes folks who subscribe or would consider subscribing to 1+ streaming service. Please use normal, non-technical language.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
- You will write 3-8 timely news articles per day (~400 words each), but there is an opportunity for more if you pitch or take evergreen assignments.
- We pay $20/hour, with a minimum of $20 per article and a bonus if you pitch the story to us.
- If you write more than 20 articles per month for us, we will pay for up to $25 of your streaming services. Yes, that means you can get Netflix, Disney+, and/or HBO Max on us.
