VGS is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy and innovation for Value Added Services on the VGS Product team.  VGS is the world's leader in payment tokenization. Large banks, aspiring fintechs, and growing merchants embed our universal token solution into their payments stack to manage the complexities of payment data tokenization across processors and networks, open banking, card issuance, omni-channel loyalty, PCI compliance, payment orchestration, and more. We empower our clients and partners by tokenizing sensitive payment data, limiting compliance scope, and consolidating payments to unlock revenue and business opportunities.

VGS provides processor-agnostic tokenization solutions via secure universal token vaults, iframes, mobile SDKs, tokenization proxies, APIs, and data orchestration tooling to support payment acceptance, card issuance, PII and bank account tokenization, and other payments value-added services. Some of the use cases we enable include multi-processor Network Tokenization, Account Updater, payment orchestration, secure settlement file processing, 3DS, and Risk provider connectivity.

In this role you will play a pivotal role driving the strategy, prioritization, and product lifecycle management of VGS’s Value Added Services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

What you will be doing at VGS

    • Strategy Development: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with company goals and market trends.
    • Market Research: Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyze competitive landscape to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
    • Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain a product roadmap that prioritizes features and enhancements based on customer value, business impact, and resource constraints.
    • Execution: Put plans to work quickly and with focus on achieving the team’s stated goals.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to drive product development from concept to launch.
    • Requirements Definition: Define detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development efforts.
    • Product Development: Lead agile product development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
    • Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
    • Stakeholder Management: Communicate product updates, milestones, and priorities to internal and external stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact product delivery or success, and develop mitigation strategies.

What we are looking for from you (Requirements)

    • 6+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing payments software products.
    • Exceptional writing skills.
    • High degree of organizational and program management skills.
    • Deep experience working in agile development teams, with a keen understanding of agile methodologies and best practices. Example: you have a strong POV about the difference between a Product Owner and a Product Manager.
    • Highly skilled with hypothesis-driven work planning.
    • Strong preference for payments knowledge, including card acceptance and issuing, ACH, RTP, Digital Wallets, and Alternative Payment Methods.
    • Familiarity with API and cloud-based payment processing solutions.
    • Able to independently facilitate customer discovery sessions before the product strategy has been defined.
    • Able to think big and yet have a strong passion for details.
    • Able to translate market and client insights into prioritized work for architects and engineers to build.
    • Experienced in defining clear goals, measuring critical metrics, and driving execution across the organization with data-driven decisions.
