who we are
Vesta is building the next generation of banking infrastructure, starting with a next generation mortgage LOS (back office system of record - incumbents are old companies like Ellie Mae/Black Knight). The founders were previously early employees at Blend, where they saw the inefficiencies and high costs of the manual mortgage process in a historically paper based workflow. By offering Vesta to banks, they can manage and digitize this work to both drive operational efficiency, as well as open up the platform that will enable the digital banks of the future to build and buy the rest of their technology stack. Vesta has recently raised a $5M seed round from top investors in finance and technology, including Conversion Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, and Index Ventures.
who you are
Vesta is building out its early engineering team with well rounded, resourceful engineers who want to create a product literally from the ground up. You are someone who loves building software that delights users and may be interested in founding a company of your own some day. An ideal candidate for this role is not afraid to work on any part of the stack from infrastructure to front-end and is excited about the breadth of responsibility and autonomy. You are someone who people can depend on to get things done and take responsibility for your commitments. You love working alongside smart and talented people who are execution oriented.
about the role
This early on, you'll be expected to work generally where the product's needs are strongest. In addition to development, you'll be responsible for helping set the guidelines and frameworks for our engineering organization in the years ahead, including both technical tooling and organizational growth.
Because the responsibilities of this role are so open-ended, there is no hard and fast list of requirements, but some areas of experience that may be relevant are listed below:
- Cloud based enterprise web applications
- PostgreSQL or similar database
- C# and .NET Core / EF Core
- React and TypeScript
- AWS, Terraform, Ansible
- Working in an environment with complex data models
