About the role 🖥️

    • Vestiaire Collective is seeking a highly analytical, data-driven, and strategic US Commercial Director to join our leadership team. This is a critical and highly visible role, deeply embedded in driving the financial success and strategic growth of our US market and operations within the dynamic luxury resale market.
    • Reporting directly to Samina Virk, US CEO & Global CMO, based in New York, you'll be instrumental in steering daily performance, shaping our financial and commercial strategy, and ensuring seamless execution across the board. What you will do 👜

    • Own the US P&L and Commercial Strategy:Take full ownership of the US P&L, deeply understanding revenue drivers, cost structures, and profitability levers specific to a luxury C2C marketplace. Drive daily, weekly, and monthly performance steering, proactively identifying trends, opportunities, and risks. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize financial performance and achieve ambitious business objectives within the US market. Conduct in-depth business performance analysis, translating complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for the US CEO and leadership team. Serve as a strategic partner for the US business, providing a bird's-eye view of the market landscape and identifying key areas for improvement and growth. Develop and execute the overall business and financial strategy for the US market, aligning with global objectives while addressing local market nuances and the unique characteristics of luxury resale.Specifically, lead our local marketing strategy and budget allocation, optimizing spend across channels to maximize ROI and customer acquisition in the luxury resale fashion space.
    • Oversee US Promotion, Merchandising & CRM Plans:Partner with global teams to ensure the US plan is the right mix of across global and local market objectives, driving user acquisition, engagement, and retention among the US community.Steer the development and execution of the comprehensive US commercial plan, tailored for a luxury resale marketplace.Monitor the performance of commercial initiatives, providing critical feedback and recommendations for optimization.Drive data-driven decision making and establish key performance metrics
    • Be the US Lead within the global organization:Act as the primary point of contact and lead for all US projects initiated by global functions (e.g., Product, Tech, Global Marketing, Operations).Provide critical guidance and strategic input from a US market perspective, ensuring global initiatives are effectively localized and implemented within the luxury fashion context.Facilitate seamless cross-functional coordination between US teams and global stakeholders (particularly in France), bridging communication gaps and ensuring alignment on project goals and execution.Drive successful implementation of global projects within the US, anticipating challenges and proactively finding solutions to ensure smooth rollout and adoption.Build relationships with key stakeholders including investors, customers, and industry leadersTeam Development & CultureBuild and lead a high-performing executive teamFoster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricityAttract, retain, and develop top talent across all functionsChampion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives

Who you are ⭐

    • 6-8+ years of work experience leading business areas, with a mix of strategic, financial, & market growth experience
    • Previous experience in owning a business P&L in a growth environment, specific marketplace model experience preferred
    • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in guiding teams (directly or indirectly) and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate strategic and commercial direction to executive committee, including the US CEO A track record of working effectively in a global environment navigating cultural nuances and time zones with ease.
    • Highly proactive, self-motivated, and results oriented.
    • Entrepreneurial hands-on, able to dive into details when need. Growth company experience a must. 
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive in a dynamic, evolving landscape within the e-commerce/marketplace industry.
    • A problem-solver at heart, always looking for innovative solutions and efficiencies.
