The Director of Growth Strategy role drives a crucial part of Vevo’s mission. The role works within our Music+Talent team and is focused on growing the promotional and commercial value of our music videos across all distribution platforms. They work with Vevo’s trove of artist data to uncover growth opportunities on YouTube and across Connected TV to share with Vevo’s external artist and label partners. 

The Director of Growth Strategy will lead a growth and optimization team in the US and UK in working closely with the Artist+Label Relations team to drive growth initiatives and efficiently communicate the value of these efforts to our label partners. Growth is central to our mission and represents a growing global impact for the business and for Vevo’s artist and label partners.

As a member of our team, you will:

    • Define Vevo’s technical growth and optimization strategy on all endpoints
    • Analyze and report on YouTube & Connected TV growth strategies to partners. Automate and templatize this at scale.
    • Work with internal label relations team to develop strategies/priorities to maximize growth opportunities both on and off YouTube
    • Educate, present, and lead meetings with key partners/labels to achieve Vevo’s growth goals
    • Key resource for partner questions related to growth data across company platforms
    • Proactively anticipate partner growth needs and deliver value
    • Develop custom proposals for artist release campaigns to maximize impact
    • Help develop optimization tools for Label Partners
    • Lead collaborations with internal Data Science team on experiments around content rollout, programming approach, and optimization strategy for YouTube & Connected TV
    • Consult with Vevo’s Original Content Production and Design teams to advise on best practices to optimize our full suite of content and promotional assets

Requirements:

    • 7+ years experience in account management/partner support, presentation, communication
    • Strong communication + collaboration skills
    • Expert in YouTube Analytics
    • Experience with Photoshop, presentation designing in PowerPoint, Google Slides
    • Effective public speaker and presentation skills
    • High proficiency in business intelligence/data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau
    • Passion for music and music videos
    • Music industry experience with artists/labels/management is a must
