Train, manage, and lead a team of Business Development Executives within the assigned geographic region to establish, maintain, grow and generate revenue.
The position requires the incumbent to gather market conditions and intelligence, develop action plans, and integrate the sales force to work toward achieving the established company goals (i.e. growth, profitability, market share, etc.).
Duties and Responsabilities
- Strategic:
- Lead, develop and direct the region to deliver sales revenue and profit objectives.
- Work closely with Vice President for your region to develop sales strategies and achieve company objectives.
- Lead the region and oversee planning integrated with the business strategies in partnership with senior management team.
- Cultivate and maintain a strong customer focused approach.
- Leverage current and past relationships to open doors to new business opportunities.
- Technical/Functional:
- Lead sales team to meet or exceed sales goals, agent base and existing agency productivity. Market penetration.
- Manage, lead improve Viamericas’ agent sales force and grow Viamericas’ agent relationships, agent sales and maximize total gross profit margins and operating income for Viamericas agent business overseeing Viamericas’ agent sales force, revenue management and agents’ P&L.
- You will be responsible to grow the number of transactions, gross profit and EBIT for the agents assigned in your Region. You will be expected to accomplish this through a combination of:
- Growth of money transfer transactions, GPM and cost management from existing Viamericas agents, by agent, by corridor through sales, revenue and relationship management.
- Regional sales management and sales force – new agent sales, exclusive agent sales, sales quota
- management and evaluation, training and sales support of agent sales force and direct closure of new relationships and agreements deals with agent sales force.
- Identifying, signing and delivering new agent relationships and business directly.
- Growth of Bill Payment, Check Cashing and Top Up Calling Card transactions. GPM and cost
- management from existing and new Viamericas agents, by agent, by corridor through direct sales as well as sales, revenue and relationship management.
- Monitor progress against key performance indicators for region, ensure that progress is effectively communicated and implement strategies and tactics to address performance gaps.
- Identify and execute against new business opportunities within your sales region.
- Sales Roles:
- Sign new accounts as needed to hit region target.
- Monitor Sales representatives and Territory Managers, signings performance on a weekly basis.
- Prepare sales presentations for high volume prospects.
- Identify region’s negative variances and develop action plan to recover business.
- Sell our value proposition.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and/or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience within the money transfer industry.
- Experience with Business to Business sales.
- Broad knowledge of different client types including check cashers, large clients, and chains.
- Proven track record for results to be metrically driven.
- Must have great follow-through skills.
- Ambitious, energetic, confident, with a strong work ethic.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Strong negotiation and sales skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English/Spanish).
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, competitive, team oriented environment.
- Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
- Experience with specific sales methodology and ability for execution of the programs.
- Experience in managing against P&L goals budgeting forecasting and managing results.
- Proven track record and positive results of leadership capability to lead a region through organizational change.
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level, customers and staff.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is preferred.
- Must be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.
