WHAT YOU’LL DO
Viant is seeking a Principal Product Manager, Viant AI Products to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our Viant AI Suite—an award winning set of innovative AI-powered advertising products that transform the way advertisers plan, buy, and optimize media. In this role, you will define and build the next generation of AI capabilities that fuel Viant’s vision for fully autonomous advertising. You’ll create exciting cutting edge products that harness the power of AI to drive efficiency, performance, and measurable outcomes for customers. You'll play a critical role in developing features that empower advertisers with AI - smarter tools, sharper insights, and stronger performance.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Own and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the Viant AI Suite within Viant DSP.
- Lead end-to-end product management efforts, from research and discovery through definition, delivery, and iteration.
- Collaborate with data science, engineering, design, and external customers to identify opportunities where AI can solve complex challenges, from smarter media planning to fully automated campaigns management and optimization.
- Define and prioritize requirements for AI-powered products and features
- Manage dependencies across Viant’s technical environment and ensure timely delivery of AI products to market.
- Conduct in-depth research on competitive AI/ML advancements within ad tech and programmatic platforms.
- Communicate product performance through AI-specific KPIs (e.g., lift in campaign efficiency, accuracy of predictive models, cost savings from automation).
- Champion a customer-first mindset, ensuring every AI product delivers tangible business value.
GREAT TO HAVE
- 7+ years of experience in product management, with a proven record of delivering successful products.
- 4+ years of experience in online advertising, ideally within DSPs or related ad tech platforms including media planning, campaign management, optimization, targeting, modeling, and personalization.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using structured, data-driven reasoning.
- Strong understanding of generative AI applications and frameworks .
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineers, data scientists, and designers.
- Familiarity with programmatic ecosystems, including Ad Networks, Exchanges, RTB, DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, onboarding, and identity management platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate AI-driven outcomes to both technical and business stakeholders.

$180,000 - $230,000 a year
In accordance with California law, the range provided is Viant’s reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. Actual pay will be based on several factors including work experience and education.
