WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the Technical Platform Lead at Viant, you will be the vital bridge between our Operations and Product/Engineering teams, ensuring the seamless operation of our systems. Your role involves coordinating efforts across internal departments, teaching others how to optimize campaigns, and using data to guide decisions, particularly in collaboration with Programmatic Campaign Managers. This position is ultimately responsible for providing technical support across all internal teams and contributing to the continuous improvement of the Viant trading platforms.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

    • Become an Expert: Gain proficiency in the Viant trading platforms, best practices for campaign management, and optimization.
    • Data Analysis & Strategy Development: Combine data analysis and client feedback to create optimization strategies and provide solutions for campaigns using specific analytical tools or techniques (to be discussed during the interview).
    • Solution Development: Conceptualize and develop solutions and efficiency strategies for issues/workflow experienced by platform traders.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams to troubleshoot product and advertiser/publisher issues.
    • QA Support & System Troubleshooting: Provide QA support for platform traders and collaborate closely with Product/Engineering to identify and resolve system issues.
    • Platform Enhancement: Work with Product Management to define features and drive enhancements to Viant's platform.
    • Client Communication: Understand and communicate Viant’s value proposition, technology, and partnerships to help grow clients’ accounts.
    • Training & Development: Train internal teams on the Viant trading platforms and best practices.
    • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
    • Reporting & Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and performance reports.

GREAT TO HAVE

    • Strong documentation skills for capturing the project and processes
    • Proven ability to learn and adopt new technologies
    • Basic knowledge of JS/HTML, GBQ, SQL
    • Python knowledge
    • Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with at least one or more ad serving technologies a plus

$70,000 - $90,000 a year
In accordance with California law, the range provided is Viant’s reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role.  Final title and compensation for the position will be based on several factors including work experience and education.
