People Operations Manager

What you'll do
As the People Operations Manager you will have three main areas of focus, outlined below. However, as an early member of our People team, you will have significant ability to form your role and scope of work, and grow in your career in a direction that makes sense for you. 
Technology: Own all People, HR, and Benefits systems. You will make sure everything is up-to-date and all our processes integrate flawlessly.
People: Design, develop and roll out our orientation and on-boarding programs. You will be the first point of contact for all our new hires and will make sure they have a great welcoming experience and are quickly set up to succeed.
Process: Maintain all our processes to be current and compliant with federal, state, local and our own regulations and norms - building and enhancing our company and our culture through them.

Who you are
You are someone who loves to build new programs and truly own them. You take pride in your work and make sure that the programs you build make sure for the organization. Since we are a quickly evolving organization, your programs will have to quickly evolve as well.
Ideally you’ve worked in People Ops at fast growing companies in the past. You’ve designed programs there. You’ve owned programs there. You’ve evolved programs there. 
You have built orientation and/or on-boarding programs. You’ve oriented and on-boarded new hires to your past companies.
You have worked with HR systems and have a preference for which you like and why. You’ve owned payroll before and also have a perspective on which tool you prefer. 
You are either passionate, or at least familiar with, employment and immigration law. You feel comfortable liaising with our counsel and making sure we are both compliant with government regulations, and proactive with our employees work-authorization needs. 
You want to make a positive difference at a company and in people’s lives. You are confident that you can do that through people, processes and programs. You have done things previously that show this about you.
