Robot QA/QC Engineer

As a Robot Quality Assurance and Quality Control Engineer, your role will be to ensure that our robots are ready to accomplish their missions at our various customer sites with varying and challenging conditions. You will be responsible of the design and implementation of our test protocols as well as overseeing both research and production level test environments.

What you'll do

    • Architect, implement and maintain test protocols and test scripts
    • Ensure that our products meet the customer requirements / specifications
    • Design, implement and maintain test protocols
    • Track, identify and communicate software and hardware defects
    • Analyze and communicate test results and performance analysis
    • Oversee the execution of our on-site tests alongside a team of technicians
    • Guarantee the safety of our robot systems and our test protocols
    • Have overall responsibility for our research and production test environment at both the hardware and software levels

Who you are

    • BS/MS degree in Robotics Engineering, Computer Science or comparable
    • 3+ years of professional experience as a test engineer with experience testing both software and hardware.  Experience with robotic or mechanical systems involving tight software integration preferred
    • Experience with industrial robotic systems
    • Good skills in Python or other comparable coding languages
    • Competence in bash shell in a Linux Environment
    • Experience with sensors (RGB and Depth) usage and calibration (intrinsic and extrinsic)
    • Familiar with Critical to Quality (CTQ) and Critical to Safety (CTS) requirements
    • Familiar with Git, Jira or similar version control and bug tracking tools
    • Comfortable with working closely with various software developers
    • Knowledge of the Robot Operating System would be a plus
