PetIQ is seeking a Quality Control Analyst to join our team in Omaha, NE.  

Responsibilities

    • Perform analytical testing and reporting in support of production, raw material and product release, product development and stability in accordance with procedural and cGMP requirements.
    • Laboratory instrumentation operation, system suitability checks, calibrations and maintenance
    • Maintain lab supplies, reagents and standards.
    • Create and issue batch records.
    • Maintain personal laboratory work area and assist in general laboratory cleaning.
    • Assists in OOS investigations and reporting, CAPAs and Deviations
    • QC data generation, review, control and retention
    • Generation of product Certificates of Analysis (CoA)
    • Performs other support functions as assigned.
    • Able to perform job duties with close direction of senior Quality personnel.
    • Maintain QC systems and procedures, including creating, updating, reviewing and approving.
    • Out of Specification (OOS) investigations and reporting
    • Write and execute Stability Studies
    • Trouble shoot product and line issues, including assisting with chemical adds.
    • Laboratory Metric and Scorecard Reporting
    • Participate in internal and external quality audits as needed.
    • Ability to train team members.

Minimum Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree in scientific discipline or equivalent work experience in a scientific or pharmaceutical field
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Experience in a QC laboratory setting preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
    • Ability to read and follow written procedures.
    • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook (or similar) and comfortable working in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
    • Previous Quality experience in a regulated environment preferred.
    • Computer skills and use of databases for specifications. 
    • Associate’s degree in scientific discipline or equivalent, Bachelor preferred.

Physical Requirements

    • Ability to wear respirator and handle hazardous chemicals on a daily basis.
    • Occasionally required to stand; sit; reach with hands and arms; see color and smell.
    • Ability to participate in Emergency Action Plan, Chemical Hygiene Plan and Hazardous Communication Plan
    • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
    • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
