PetIQ is seeking a Quality Control Analyst to join our team in Omaha, NE.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing and reporting in support of production, raw material and product release, product development and stability in accordance with procedural and cGMP requirements.
- Laboratory instrumentation operation, system suitability checks, calibrations and maintenance
- Maintain lab supplies, reagents and standards.
- Create and issue batch records.
- Maintain personal laboratory work area and assist in general laboratory cleaning.
- Assists in OOS investigations and reporting, CAPAs and Deviations
- QC data generation, review, control and retention
- Generation of product Certificates of Analysis (CoA)
- Performs other support functions as assigned.
- Able to perform job duties with close direction of senior Quality personnel.
- Maintain QC systems and procedures, including creating, updating, reviewing and approving.
- Out of Specification (OOS) investigations and reporting
- Write and execute Stability Studies
- Trouble shoot product and line issues, including assisting with chemical adds.
- Laboratory Metric and Scorecard Reporting
- Participate in internal and external quality audits as needed.
- Ability to train team members.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in scientific discipline or equivalent work experience in a scientific or pharmaceutical field
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in a QC laboratory setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
- Ability to read and follow written procedures.
- Strong communication skills, oral and written.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook (or similar) and comfortable working in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Previous Quality experience in a regulated environment preferred.
- Computer skills and use of databases for specifications.
- Associate’s degree in scientific discipline or equivalent, Bachelor preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to wear respirator and handle hazardous chemicals on a daily basis.
- Occasionally required to stand; sit; reach with hands and arms; see color and smell.
- Ability to participate in Emergency Action Plan, Chemical Hygiene Plan and Hazardous Communication Plan
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
