Job Overview:
As an Internal Audit Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in the execution of risk-based operational, financial, and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance audits necessary to promote the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information; to evaluate compliance with internal policies and procedures, laws and regulations; and to analyze the system of internal controls.  

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

    • Shadow internal audit team members to learn about the audit processes.
    • Perform audit test work and documentation under the supervision of a lead auditor.
    • Identify, develop, and document detailed audit observations and recommendations for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
    • Ability to meticulously review documents and identify discrepancies.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Willingness to collaborate with team members and learn from experienced auditors.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Education Requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
    • Must be at least a Junior or above in a discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proof of completion of a 400 or 500 level auditing course(s).
