Senior Software Engineer, Virtual Reality Architecture

Join us in making immersive holographic video a reality! Visby is building foundational capture and playback software to enable beautiful light field video for VR, AR, and other holographic displays.
Visby is looking for an experienced software engineer to join us in building these next-generation technologies from the ground up, with particular focus on architecting our decoder. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to design and build highly performant GPU-accelerated software. Recent work experience in C++, preferably modern C++, is required. CUDA, Open GL, knowledge of computer graphics/rendering and familiarity with mathematics (such as geometry and linear algebra) are also helpful. Two or more years of professional work in a shared code base preferred. We value good communication, collaboration, and the ability to consider multiple perspectives when solving problems. An interest in mentoring junior team members is valuable, as well.
You will be an early hire at a fast-growing venture-funded company, so your position and role will grow with the company. You will have input into engineering processes and strategy and will help define the company’s culture.
