Role Purpose and Summary

    • Deliver transactions throughout their lifecycle from pre-qualification to submission and financial close; lead a team in conducting thorough financial and market analysis to derive recommendations and support decision-making

Experience

    • 10-12 years of experience in business development in the PPP sector, investment banking, private equity or corporate banking
    • Experience of working in KSA or Middle East is desirable 

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or equivalent; Master’s degree is preferred
    • Certifications in investment management field (e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst)
    • Training in Corporate Governance and Board Leadership is desirable

Key Responsibilities: Role Specific Technical Responsibilities

    • Strategy & growth
    • Support the SVP NBD in managing and directing a high performing NBD team providing direction, motivation, and support to all team members 
    • Contribute towards developing technical policies, procedures, standards and manuals pertaining to the NBD team with clear interfaces with other functions
    • Contribute towards knowledge management to capture, review and share successful approaches and lessons learnt

    • Transaction lifecycle
    • Lead NBD team’s activities in the origination phase, including the preparation and review of market trends analysis, review drafted presentations for internal and external use, review and submission of Expressions of Interest, market sounding exercises and review and submission of Statements of Qualification
    • Guide research and analysis of potential partners at different levels of a PPP transaction i.e.: co-investors; EPC contractors; FM/OM partners, assessing the technical capabilities, fitness for purpose and financials
    • Work through the various stages of project management by handling bid preparation and submission, negotiations, project award, commercial and financial closure and any subsequent activities
    • Collaborate with various specialized teams engaged in the bid process, including those responsible for the technical, insurance, financial, legal, and maintenance workstreams; guide team members to closely collaborate with said team
    • Oversee and handle submission and closure of transaction deals
    • Manage and lead the closing of the various due diligence processes involved in PPP deal transactions and sell/buy-side M&A transactions with internal and external stakeholders
    • Prepare and negotiate high-quality pitches and presentations and other various documents (e.g.: non-disclosure agreements; project documents; sponsors’ related documents; debt and equity funding related documents, contractual heads of terms, etc.)
    • Collaborate and support the Project Companies on behalf of the Sponsors in any task related to the project (e.g.: modification of financial facilities, contract amendments, etc.) including coordination with relevant stakeholders

    • Financial analysis
    • Oversee the completion of in-depth financial analysis and research of potential investment opportunities, including financial modelling, valuation, and risk assessment
    • Guide efforts towards building PPP concession-based financial models from scratch for new projects and bids, including running the model for internal purposes in collaboration with financial advisor
    • Oversee building and management of internal models (shadow financial models and cost models) towards building PPP concession-based models from scratch for new projects and bids, including running the model for internal purposes
    • Conduct financial assessment of opportunities including returns, asset value, sensitivities, scenarios, deliverability and efficiency of tax, accounting and economic assumptions
    • Maintain and work with the financial models of the portfolio companies to support project-specific corporate initiatives, and contractual modifications; assess investment feasibility and apply lessons learned from previous transactions by different deal teams

    • Involvement in Project SPV during construction phase
    • Ensure coordination with project SPV team during construction on various aspects (analyzing the cost claim / procurer change requests / progress reports) which requires Vision Invest’s intervention
    • Ensure coordination in terms of updating or scenario running of financial models based on the requirement of SPV team
