The successful candidate will take full ownership of the financial modelling process for greenfield social and economic infrastructure projects in the GCC region. The Associate / Senior Associate will build PPP concession-based financial models from scratch for new projects and bids and will be required to run existing operational models developed by others in the team or external advisors.

 

In parallel, the successful candidate will be supporting the transaction leads, CEO office and the Legal & Commercial team throughout the bidding, project origination and closing processes, as detailed further below. Over time, the successful candidate will be expected to grow into an AVP role and take leadership of the project development, origination and investment activities.

· Financial modelling of greenfield concession-based PPP infrastructure projects including building models from scratch

· Advanced usage of financial models developed internally by Vision Invest and/or externally by financial advisors

· Supervision and management of the model audit, tax and accounting due diligence of the modelled assumptions

· Building of cost models and coordination of data collection from partners and supply chain companies (CAPEX, O&M, life cycle and economic assumptions). Benchmarking of costs against recent market precedents

· Development, monitoring and management of the bidding budgets for various tenders

· Supporting AVPs, VPs and the Legal & Commercial team members through various stages of a project life including pre-qualification, tender preparation and submission, negotiations, project award, financial close and any subsequent operational activities

· Supporting AVPs and VPs in providing leadership to different fields of expertise involved in the bid process such as design, construction, finance, legal and maintenance working groups

· Preparation and presentation of investment approval papers to Investment Committees and the Board of Directors of Vision Invest

· Evaluation of project risks (financial, macro-economic, commercial and technical) and development of risk mitigation strategies including sensitivity analysis to ensure that Vision Invest’s equity investment criteria are satisfied

· Review and negotiations of the finance documentation and shareholder agreements in conjunction with AVPs, VPs and external lawyers

·  Assisting AVPs and VPs in the development and origination of new investment opportunities including market researches, VfM assessment, viability and bankability analysis, valuation models for brownfield acquisitions, refinancing and disposal strategies, selection of equity, EPC and FM partners, banks and due diligence advisers (model audit, financial, tax & accounting, insurance and technical)

· Review of the technical, insurance and legal due diligence reports for greenfield and brownfield projects in conjunction with the transaction leads

· Representation of Vision Invest's interests in key meetings and contractual negotiations with the clients and sub-contractors

·  Assisting transaction leads in drafting and negotiation of the key contractual Heads of Terms for the development and subcontracting agreements
