We are looking for a Windows Systems Administrator to join our Corporate IT (Corp-IT) team and play a mission-critical role in the design, deployment, and maintenance of our enterprise IT infrastructure. This position emphasizes Windows Server administration, SaaS platform management, and user support, while also ensuring reliable operations across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
In this role, you will be directly involved in supporting the firm’s software engineering, quantitative research, and financial operations teams. You will contribute to both strategic infrastructure projects and day-to-day operational excellence, helping to drive productivity across the organization in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality user support for our US office and international employees.
- Perform Windows server, deployment, administration and improvements.
- SaaS tools administration including Office 365, Slack, Zoom, etc.
- Quickly and efficiently resolve issues on employee laptops (Mac and Windows OS).
- Administer and maintain enterprise endpoint management/deployment suite.
- Manage technical and hardware onboarding of new users (including creating user accounts, setting up new laptops, and required accessories).
- Handle maintenance of US office conference rooms.
- Route and respond to support tickets quickly and efficiently.
- Take on special project work for the Corp-IT team.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services.
- Strong expertise in VMware virtualization, including administration of ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
- Strong level knowledge of Office 365, and Azure AD (including solid experience with Intune, SSO, and Security).
- Strong knowledge and administration experience of Windows and Mac endpoints.
- Familiarity with backup solutions (Veeam, or similar tool)
- Working knowledge of networking services and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SSH, SMTP)
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Creative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused, service-oriented, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate administrative tasks.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and internal documentation best practices.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Apple DEP/VPP, or Jamf.
- Background in Linux systems administration and infrastructure design.
- Exposure to Identity and Access Management (IAM) and LDAP systems.
- Experience leading or contributing to infrastructure or cross-functional IT projects.
The base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $135,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
