As the Systems Administrator, you will design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure across the firm with a particular emphasis on desktop systems and corporate services, including help-desk and ticket tracking, as well as office equipment. Endpoints are primarily Mac OS, but Windows and back end Linux are used as well. You will be a member of the Corp-IT team, which is flexible in supporting a growing, dynamic team of software, research, and systems engineers. This role is a means to make a difference: you will maintain the backbone of a rapidly growing technology enterprise.

Responsibilities

    • Provide high-quality user support for our UK office and international employees.
    • Provide on-call coverage during UK hours for our US Corp-IT and Systems teams.
    • Quickly and efficiently resolve issues on employee laptops (Mac and Windows OS).
    • Administer and maintain enterprise endpoint management/deployment suite.
    • Perform Windows server administration, and Office 365 management.
    • Handle maintenance of UK office conference rooms.
    • Manage technical and hardware onboarding of new users (including creating user accounts, setting up new laptops, and required accessories).
    • Route and respond to support tickets quickly and efficiently.
    • Take on special project work for our Systems and IT teams.

Required qualifications

    • At least three years of experience administering MacOS (ideally with Jamf Pro, and via the command line)
    • At least three years of experience managing Office 365 (including via PowerShell)
    • At least three years of experience in administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows Server and Active Directory.
    • Familiarity with backup solutions (preferably Veeam)
    • Working knowledge of networking services and protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SSH, SMTP
    • Experience in a Linux environment (RHEL/CentOS)
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication and attention to detail.
    • Excellent creative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Customer-focused, service-oriented, with the ability to work in a team.
    • Able to work independently with little supervision.

Preferred qualifications

    • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira/Confluence)
    • Familiarity with Ansible on Linux and Mac and/or Apple DEP and VPP
    • Scripting in Bash and/or Python
    • Proclivity for open source
    • LDAP
    • Systems infrastructure design
