The Managing Director, Investor Relations and Business Development will be responsible for helping lead the growth of our firm, including developing and executing our vision and strategy for both new and existing clients.  As a senior member of the Investor Relations and Business Development team this role will have significant responsibility for overseeing some of our most important existing LP relationships, as well as building new partnerships with key institutional investors around the world. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate a combination of outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, as well as robust processes for monitoring, tracking, and executing all aspects of investor relations and fundraising activity. These qualities will enable this role to drive tremendous impact at the firm-level as we seek to build and maintain trusted partnerships with some of the world’s most sophisticated institutional investors.  Reporting to the Head of Investor Relations and Business Development, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to work closely with senior firm leadership on key investor relationships and firm wide strategic projects.

This role is a means to make a difference: the strategic insights and world-class fundraising and client service execution you deliver will directly enhance and grow Voleon’s position as a pioneering firm in the world of quantitative finance.

This role will be based in the Tri-state area.

Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior leaders at institutional investors of all types 
    • Develop and execute high-impact fundraising strategies across funds, geographies, and client types
    • Engage in the full cycle of investor relations functions, from sourcing new opportunities to closing investments with both existing clients and prospects
    • Develop marketing and investor relations infrastructure and materials
    • Participate in new product development
    • Be a “player/coach” that provides mentorship and guidance for other team members

Requirements

    • At least ten years of experience in a senior marketing and investor relations role at an asset management firm
    • Track record of closing substantial investments from leading institutional investors
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Ability to travel extensively, both within the US and internationally
$200,000 - $200,000 a year
The base salary for this position is $200,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
