Your colleagues will include internationally recognized experts in machine learning research as well as highly experienced finance and technology professionals. You will be working with strategies that are at the forefront of machine learning and statistical trading. The strategies have been carefully designed to generate non-correlated returns. Our firm and its strategies are the product of many years of meticulous research and craftsmanship, and you will lead the way in bringing them to investors.

As a member of our Investor Relations and Business Development team, you will partner closely within Sales and other IRBD colleagues, as well as with Executive Leadership, Research, Engineering, and Operations to synthesize and produce investor relations content worthy of some of the most sophisticated investors in the world. The role sits within our client research and marketing functions, where you will help deliver insights that foster a deeper understanding of Voleon’s research and portfolios among the world’s leading institutional investors.

Responsibilities:

    • Working independently and in conjunction with senior members of the team to create materials with the goal of educating prospective and existing investors
    • Create slides and full presentations for pitch and educational purposes to relay technical information in a compelling and accessible manner
    • Develop an understanding of Voleon’s strategies and our differentiators to be able to create and refine narratives about our firm
    • Create materials for ad-hoc updates on all aspects of our strategies , process, positioning, performance, markets, etc.
    • Take input from leadership and other members of the team, and drive material from draft to final form
    • Help design and develop content style guidelines to enhance our materials and ensure consistency across communications
    • Work with the sales team, investment team and back and middle offices to respond to requests for market and performance data, RFIs and DDQs, and/or presentation materials
    • Respond in a timely manner to client and prospect requests
    • Work with Compliance to obtain necessary approvals on materials

Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience 
    • Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel to create high quality presentations
    • Excellent analytical thinker with great attention to detail
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Outstanding organizational skills to set priorities, manage multiple deliverables in parallel and meet time sensitive deadlines
    • Bachelor’s degree 
    • Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

    • Ability to code in python, R, or similar languages
    • CFA or CAIA or interest in pursuing these certifications
$135,000 - $180,000 a year
The base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $180,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
