At Volta we’re on a mission to accelerate the adoption of the electric vehicle. Volta creates city-wide free electric vehicle charging networks in major metropolitan areas. Our charging networks are free-to-use, free to our property partners, and monetized through brand sponsorships and digital media content.

We are seeking a paralegal to join our Legal Team to help us organize ourselves so we can create great experiences for our property partners, brand sponsors and the EV charging public.

Specifically, we are interested in a person passionate about driving EV adoption, who can work in a creative, fast-moving environment while helping us build processes and systems for contract management, compliance and corporate governance.

This position will be based in San Francisco and will report to the General Counsel.


    • Help design, implement and maintain processes for contract management and corporate compliance
    • Work across real estate acquisition, construction, and sponsor sales teams to manage contract life cycle
    • Organize and maintain corporate records, regulatory filings, intellectual property portfolio, corporate and equity compliance material, and related initiatives
    • Participate in design and maintenance of data governance program
    • Respond to claims and support outside litigation counsel
    • Respond to claims and support outside litigation counsel
    • Build and maintain library of forms, clauses, and support materials for corporate team


    • 3+ years of previous experience working as a paralegal with a corporate legal department or law firm
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
    • Ability to work in high-growth, fast-paced company with workforce and partners spread across country
