The Opportunity at Volta Charging

As Lead Frontend Engineer, you’ll own the frontend products from the AI & Data team at Volta. You'll design and lead the team to implement the product frontend.  You’ll ensure the frontend runs smooth, fast, and reliably by collaborating and coordinating with cross functional team members, by writing and reviewing code, and by mentoring/developing junior engineers.

In your first 90 days, you will

    • 30 days: Learn about the product (project goals, requirements, constraints, key stakeholders), familiarize with existing code and API calls, learn about the field. Take ownership of a small feature
    • 60 days: Take ownership of the entire frontend, with the help of the supervisor. Make sure the team is coordinated and productive, code is reviewed and tested, and features are shipped on time
    • 90 days: Take independent ownership of the entire frontend. Ensure the team is productive and no one is blocked. Strategize and design solutions to needed features. Be the point person when coordinating across different Volta teams. Be the product expert and answer any questions from the frontend team. Teach and mentor frontend engineers

After twelve months, you will have accomplished

    • Leading the development of a new version or significant features of the product
    • Ensuring the frontend team runs smoothly
    • Ensuring code quality is high and maintainable and the user experience is fun and snappy
    • Being the point person for the frontend of PredictEV or Optra
