At Volta we’re on a mission to accelerate the adoption of the electric vehicle. Volta creates city-wide free electric vehicle charging networks in major metropolitan areas. Our charging networks are free-to-use, free to our property partners, and monetized through brand sponsorships and digital media content. 

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive, Media Sales to join our Media Sales Team to help shape Volta’s vision, by using your digital sales experience, communication skills, and analytical abilities, combined with your passion for making a difference. As a core part of a growing Sales Team, you will not only help companies leverage Volta’s smart technology platform to reach key audiences but help forward thinking companies grow and transform communities. 

This position will be based in New York, NY and will report to Shane McGrath, VP, Media Sales.

Responsibilities

    • Develop new business through regular interactions with clients and proactively seek new partnership opportunities
    • Develop and execute a strategic account approach, vertically and horizontally navigating both the client direct and agency relationships
    • Develop a strong understanding of the client/agency business and demonstrate how the Volta offering can assist them to achieve their marketing and business objectives
    • Conduct storytelling presentations that highlight Volta’s unique value proposition
    • Meet/exceed expectations to identify, qualify, and cold call prospective clients, build a robust pipeline, and close business 
    • Consistently meet or exceed individual quarterly sales targets
    • Leverage established relationships with key decision makers at client and agency to maximize revenue potential
    • Effectively identify trends in the marketplace and share internally with sales management, marketing, and product teams
    • Partner with Account Management, Marketing, Research, Product and Client Service teams to achieve client's objectives
    • Effectively report on territory account development and sales progress via Salesforce

Qualifications

    • 7+ years media sales or strategy agency experienceForward thinker, entrepreneurial by nature, proactive, high energy and high integrity work habits
    • Experience working in fast-paced, start-up/growth stage company
    • Goal-oriented personality with a commitment to team success, and a strong work ethic and the ability to communicate best practices internally
    • In-depth experience within the New York region
    • Strategic media sales experience including the ability to understand Volta’s bigger value and effectively sell our media & technology platform
    • A reputation for being an enthusiastic, energetic, effective networker who enjoys the sales process and is committed to building client relationships and growing credibility for Volta
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as great listening skills
    • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and operate in an open and fluid environment
    • Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce or similar CRM
