By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our Business Development Department. Your objective is to prospect for new sites and expand our charging networks by signing agreements with decision-makers, allowing Volta to build their network of EV chargers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Grow and develop new business through regular interactions with clients and by proactively seeking new partnership opportunities
    • Individually manage current accounts, generate new business from existing customers and prospective clients, and develop solid relationships with key decision makers
    • Consistently meet or exceed individual quarterly sales targets
    • Meet/exceed expectations to identify, qualify, and cold call prospective clients, build a robust pipeline, and close business
    • Conduct storytelling presentations that highlight the unique value Volta offers
    • Effectively identify trends in the marketplace and share internally with sales management, marketing, and product teams
    • Collaborate with Account Manager and Volta‚Äôs Ops Team to see through negotiating terms for lease, solidify legally binding agreements and facilitate charger permitting and installation; under deadline pressure
    • Record all processes, related information and milestones on team-shared databases and operating systems
    • Communicate issues internally across sales, product, engineering and operations teams; while actively seeking solutions
    • Partner with Account Management and Client Service teams to achieve client's objectives
    • Effectively report on territory account development and sales progress via Salesforce
    • Data analysis for new market entry and client (REIT) contacts
    • Travel consisting of approximately 1-2 trips per quarter

QUALIFICATIONS

    • PASSION - passion for Volta, passion for sales, passion for success
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher
    • 2+ years Business Development and/or Field/Site Sales
    • Highly motivated, team player with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines, support team members and join forces with syndicated partners
    • Ability to interpret data to create a compelling narrative that accurately addresses the business challenge at hand
    • Strong business writing and communication skills
    • Ability to translate complex ideas, set accurate expectations with partners and tell a story
    • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Dropbox and Salesforce.com or similar CRM
