FINANCIAL ANALYST JOB
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team at Volta Labs, a fast-growing hardware startup. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data to provide insights that will drive our business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, as well as experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions
- Prepare financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management and investors
- Analyze financial data, including revenue and expenses, cash flow, and profitability, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Manage and monitor cash flow and working capital
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets
- Assist with fundraising efforts, including preparing pitch decks and financial projections
- Help improve internal financial processes and controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations and Engineering, to provide financial guidance and support
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related field, preferably at a technology company
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Experience in financial modeling and forecasting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment and familiarity with venture capital fundraising and startup metrics is a plus
- CPA or CFA certification is a plus
